On Thursday 25th May at the Lambridge training ground in Bath (kick-off 4:30pm)nine schools from the B&NES area will be taking part in the Bath Rugby Community Secondary TAG festival.
For the past four weeks the various teams have been participating in training sessions which have been provided by the Bath Rugby Community Development team.

The training sessions covered various forms of rugby skills and the scheme culminates in the TAG rugby tournament on Thursday where the players will get the chance to put their skills into practice against the other schools who have participated in the scheme.

Bath Rugby Community Development officer Simon Rumbles said: “The scheme is one of many ongoing community projects that the Bath Rugby Community Foundation are running. It is hoped that some of the girls in the scheme will continue their rugby and train with the Bath Rugby girl’s development squad next season. I hope that all involved enjoyed the scheme and we look forward to running it again next year.”

The winners of the tournament receive a plate and the current holders are Norton Hill of Midsomer Norton.

The schools participating in the scheme are as follows:

Somervale
St Gregorys
Writhlington
Ralph Allen
Prior Park
Oldfield
Hayesfield
Wellsway
Chew Valley
