Bath Rugby Ladies rounded off their first ever season in Championship One South with the ultimate prize of winning the league Championship for 2007/8.
The final match of the league season, played at the Recreation Ground on Sunday, ended with a 21 points to 17 victory over second placed Richmond Ladies 2nd XV.

The home team scored three tries, two from young winger Natasha Hunt and one from young flanker Izzy Noel-Smith. All three were excellently converted by fullback Darel Poole.

Richmond, who pushed the Ladies all the way, scored two tries plus a penalty try which was converted, and contributed to an excellent game refereed by world class referee Tony Spreadbury.

Bath Rugby Ladies Head Coach Jimmy Deane said, “The amount of effort and courage that has been shown by the whole squad this season has been remarkable. They are a fantastic group of people and everyone at the club are over the moon that the girls have reaped the rewards for all their efforts.”
