Wilts Girls Rugby Project Update - Term 2
21 November 2007, 4:06 pm
By Vicky Heslop
Now in its second term, the Wilts/Sportsmatch Girls Rugby project is proving hugely succesful.

The Wilts / Sportsmatch Girls Rugby Project was launched in September 2007 to work with girls in secondary schools across Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire. Female students have been offered the opportunity to try rugby within their PE provision at school, as well as supporting links to the girls sections of local rugby clubs.

The project is now in its second term, and so far around 350 girls in 8 schools in B&NES and Wiltshire have been involved in the project.
The sessions have been hugely popular, with many girls involved choosing to continue rugby either at local clubs or outside of curriculum time at school.

Term 2 Schools:

Royal High School, Bath
Broadlands School, Keynsham
Oldfield School, Bath
