| Bath Rugby's major sponsors Helphire, are kicking off Bath Rugby Community Foundation's Appeal for old mobile phones by launching the project at their Pinesgate offices on Thursday 20th March at 10.30 a.m. They have asked their employees to support the appeal to help in the building of a new Community Centre as part of a new stadium. |
For every phone donated a brick will be bought towards a new centre (each phone donates £2.50). The centre will be purpose built, to be used as a classroom for educational projects and out of hours learning. This will mean that we can expand on our literacy, drama and healthy lifestyles courses. We would also hope to encourage both children and adults to take part in other interesting activities or just use the centre as a general meeting place for both young and old.
If you are coming to the Bath v London Irish game on Saturday 22nd March then please bring your old phones and put them into our collection boxes and buy us a brick! For every phone you donate you will be given a chance to win a signed match day ball, so remember to bring your phones along.
The Foundation will be contacting local businesses and schools to ask for their help with this Appeal. As at the game, people donating phones will be entered into a draw to win a variety of prizes. If you are a business or a school and would like to take part in helping the Appeal please contact us on 01225 325200.
A photo opportunity will take place at Helphire, Pinesgate, Lower Bristol Road, Bath on Thursday 20th March at 10.30 am. Please contact Vicky Heslop or Pam Burke on 01225 325200 for further details. |
