Phill De Glanville

Born 1st October 1968 in Loughborough.
Height 5’ 11”     Weight 13st 6lb.


Pedigree:- Bryanston, Durham University, and St. Catherine’s College Oxford.
Won his Blue and while at Oxford represented England Students and England U21s.
He made his England debut as a replacement in the match against the Springboks in 1992 and went on to win 38 caps and score 8 tries for his country. In 1996 coach Jack Rowell appointed him England captain.
He appeared in four games for Barbarians between 1993 and 1996, scoring three tries.

Then playing for Newport, John Callard scored a try and kicked three penalties.

Phil’s farewell appearance was on 14th April 2001 versus Rotherham. During his illustrious career spanning the amateur era into the professional game, he appeared 189 times for Bath, scoring 53 tries and 250 points.

In addition, he led Bath in the 1995 Pilkington Cup Final, as deputy to the injured John Hall.

He is now Head of Partnerships for Sport England South West.
