Work Placement - Bath Rugby TV
Bath Rugby are looking to offer a work placement to pioneer the running of Bath Rugby TV from July 2008 to May 2009.
Bath Rugby are looking to appoint an undergraduate or recent graduate of a media-related course, who is interested in pursuing a career in journalism, public relations or new media. The successful candidate will have some experience in one or more of these disciplines and be familiar with Final Cut Pro.
This is an unique opportunity to gain experience in a busy Premiership club, where journalistic and editing skills can be developed within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be called upon to produce, edit and direct episodes of Bath Rugby TV for publication on bathrugby.com and YouTube. The role will also encompass the production of Bath Rugby DVD’s and regular commercial videos.
As part of this varied and demanding placement, the successful candidate will work within Bath Rugby’s Media team, assisting with media relations, publications and web editing.

ASSISTANT CLUBHOUSE MANAGER
Bath Rugby is seeking an enthusiastic person to assist the Clubhouse Manager in managing match day and other events at our Clubhouse at the Recreation Ground, Bath.
Key function of the role is to assist and deputise for the Manager in the day to day management of the Clubhouse which include:
o Management of bars, food sales, Premier lounge and business hospitality for home matches.
o Interviewing and recruiting new staff.
o Processing weekly wages to head office.
o Marketing of Bath Rugby Clubhouse for events outside of match days, confirmation of bookings and payment reconciliation
o Management of the weekly rota for Clubhouse staff.
o Reconciliation of supplier invoices on a weekly basis.
o Other duties as required to ensure that all runs smoothly on match day and for other events
The successful applicant is likely to have:
o At least two years experience in the catering sector at supervisory level and /or a Hotel and Catering qualification
o Ability to be a “hands on” Manager.
o An outgoing personality and a great attitude to customer service
o Strong administration skills with good attention to detail
o Above all a hardworking, enthusiastic personality who enjoys working as part of a team.
A love of rugby is not essential – but it does help!
Salary is negotiable and dependent up the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Bath Rugby is looking to appoint a Physiotherapist to work with the 1st Team Squad
The successful applicant will have a varied and challenging role working within the elite rugby environment at Bath Rugby. He / she will be an experienced physiotherapist with excellent diagnostic skills in musculo-skeletal injuries, with previous experience in elite sport. A MSc (or equivalent) in Sports Physiotherapy or related fields is desirable but not essential.
Duties will include clinical work with the 1st Team Squad and all other contracted players, involvement in all rehabilitation training and pitch-side cover of Bath Rugby matches (including overseas European fixtures). The successful applicant will liaise closely with the Head of Sports Medicine, Lead Physiotherapist and Head of Strength & Conditioning, to support and provide ongoing improvements to the established rehabilitation and treatment strategies.
The position will suit a dynamic hands-on practitioner with advanced diagnostic skills and the ability to formulate individualised, graduated rehabilitation and treatment programmes for players.
