Olly Barkley has now cemented himself as one of Bath Rugby’s key players, and always brings an extra dimension to the club’s backline when selected.
Whilst he has can play at fly-half, Olly usually wears the inside centre jersey, but he is the club’s first-choice kicker and in 2006/07 was nominated for the Guinness Premiership’s Golden Boot Award, but he also scored three tries on his way to 264 points in the year.
Olly is currently the second highest points scorer in Bath Rugby history and with age still on his side, it looks inevitable that he will eventually break Jon Callard’s record.
Part of the England Saxons squads in 2006/07, Barkley also has 17 full England caps, and was selected for England's 2007 World Cup campaign. At Bath, his presence in the backline will be a very strong one as the club pushes for silverware in the coming season.
