Bath United lost 50-21 to Bristol United at Clifton RFC last night.

A young Bath United side will travel to face Bristol United at Clifton RFC tonight (kick-off 7.30pm).

England Sevens Coach Ben Ryan has named Bath Rugby players Rhys Crane and Josh Ovens in his training squad ahead of the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2009 in Dubai (March 5-7).

Under the guidance of Bath Rugby's awarding winning Community team, the coaches will be delivering intensive 2-day courses focusing on all of the core rugby skills required for young players. Players will be split into their relevant age groups enabling them to work on the different skills in game situations.

Bath United led Bristol United for much of this opening Guinness A-league fixture but were unable to prevent the visitors from pulling away in the final quarter of the match and claiming a 26-37 away victory.

Bath United cruised to a seven-try, 47-10 win over the Cornish All Blacks at The Rec with lock Adrian Griffiths and wing Rhys Crane grabbing two tries apiece.

On Saturday, Bath United will play the Cornish All Blacks (Launceston) at the Rec (kick-off 3.00pm).
